The Lost Donut

The Lost Donut

I am going to try something different today. Instead of telling what I did today or showing you how to do something, I am going to write a story. It’s called the lost donut. So relax and enjoy this story.

All I hear is sizzle sizzle pop pop. I feel searing liquid all around me. After a few minutes, the sound starts to fade and I no longer feel the hot liquid. Eventually, I am laying on a solid surface. I feel a thick substance being poured over me. Then, I CAN SEE. I see a lady. She’s holding colorful sprinkles in her hand. She drops them on me and smiles. Then, she puts me in a box with other donuts. They all greeted me very nicely but it was pretty loud.

I drew a picture of what The Lost Donut looks like.

After about an hour of a bumpy ride on a red bike, I fell straight out of the box. I ran as fast as I could to try to get back to the bike but it was too fast. I tried getting people’s attention so they could help me but no one noticed. I walked in the opposite direction that we were going to try and get back to the bakery, but my legs were getting tired so I took a break. I sat down and leaned against the wall of a small grocery store. Eventually, I fell asleep.

When I woke up It was dark. I could barely see a thing. I got up and kept walking towards the bakery. It seemed as if it had rained when I was asleep because the road was moist and empty. As I kept walking, I slipped and got my leg stuck in a gutter. I tried and tried to get it loose but it wouldn’t budge.

After a while of trying to get my leg out of the gutter, one of my sprinkles fell off. THAT WAS MY FAVORITE SPRINKLE!!! The blue sprinkle on my right side had fallen straight off. Leaving an indent in my chocolate icing. I tried my best to get over that while I slowly pulled my leg out of the gutter. I kept saying to myself” I am not the lost donut.” My leg had a giant, red scratch on it. I continued on my journey dragging my leg and looking at the place where my beautiful blue sprinkle used to lay.

After hours of walking, I saw the giant donut on top of a building made out of bricks. IT WAS THE BAKERY! I HAD FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO THE BAKERY! I jumped onto the door handle and pulled as hard as I could. But it wouldn’t budge. I looked up and there was a light pink sign that said “closed”. I jumped down from the door handle and slumped my shoulders. I lied down beside the door waiting for morning. Next, I fell asleep.

I woke up from the sound of keys clattering on the ground. THEY WERE OPENING THE BAKERY! I could go inside of the bakery and get on the counter. Someone would see me and put me in a new box!!! I snuck into the bakery and climbed on the counter. I tucked in my arms and legs and closed my eyes. About two minutes later, someone picked me up and said ” What are you doing here? I must have forgotten to put you in the box.”. They set me in the box and we rode on the same bike as last time. Finally, I made it to my home.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my story of the lost donut. If you want me to write more stories like this then subscribe. I guess you could say the moral of the story is you never know where your donut has been…😂

First off I would like to say excellent blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I’ve had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15
minutes are usually wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

I have the same problem too. I find that taking notes prior to writing is a good way to speed up the starting proccess.
