My time in the Christmas parade was pretty okay. I waited and waited for the parade to start. The parade started at 5:00 and we got there at 3:00. So I waited for FOREVER! What was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE was that I started to have to use the bathroom at about 4:00. We looked for a bathroom but there was none. So, that was pretty bad.
My good time in the parade (sorta)
So, as the parade starts, we pull into it slowly. After a minute or two, there was a GIANT CROWD of people. I was rapidly grabbing the candy just chucking it out. There were so many kids and I would have felt bad if I missed anyone.
We had small pieces of candy and big bars of candy to throw. Every time I threw the big bars of candy the kids were like “WOAH”. Most of the young kids were like ” WOAH AN ELF, HI ELF!”.
Just so you know, that’s not me…
The funny part
So, I can be a little bashful when it comes to strangers. Which means I couldn’t let anyone I knew or didn’t know see me in that silly suit. To make sure no one knew it was me, I wore a medical mask. I mean IT IS 2020. I saw a few people that went to my school. That made me feel SO relieved since I had my mask on, but I was still nervous. Note to self (and you): ALWAYS use the bathroom before you are in a parade. (trust me, it’s not great) So, that was my time in the Christmas parade.
